The 2018 SUNY/PPAA & NYAPPA Conference was held in beautiful Lake Placid, New York. Mach was a sponsor and exhibitor at the conference and several of our team attended.
Principal Doug Schaefer, AIA, LEED AP was a presenter alongside Alfred State College’s Senior Director of Facilities Glen Brubaker and Pathfinder Engineers and Architect’s principal Alex Strasenburgh, PE LEED AP BD+C. The trio presented “Rebirth of a Dinosaur: Bringing MacKenzie Hall back from the brink of Extinction.” The presentation focused on the College and DASNY’s efforts to return MacKenzie Hall, the largest residence hall on campus, to a desirable housing option for students. Phase 1 of this multi-phase project was completed this year.
