Renovations to SUNY Potsdam’s Timerman Hall were completed ahead of the Fall 2019 semester. Timerman houses the Geology and Physics departments and renovations included complete replacement of the mechanical systems, upgrades to classrooms, ADA accessibility upgrades, and hazardous materials abatement. The project also captured underutilized space to create Timerman Commons which hosts study alcoves for small groups and individuals as well as museum quality display cases for the College’s collection of rare fossils, rocks, and minerals. The College can now host small events and receptions in the Commons.
This project was nominated for the AGC’s 2019 Excellence in Partnering Award by State University Construction Fund Construction Coordinator Randall Hajeck. “Integrity for this project meant that the project stakeholders maintained open and effective communication, successfully resolved conflicts and incongruities in a professional, polite manner and truly embraced the Team Win concept resulting in beautifully aesthetic spaces and high performing MEP infrastructure to support the activities occurring within those spaces.”
